TECHNOLOGIES AND ARCHITECTURE

Nowaday, technology effect to everyone, every activity in the world. People feel technology are part of their life, such as I forgot my mobile phone or mp3player, I feel this day not normal, but in this day I not want to use its. From this I think people can not live without technology but in the past when people not have technology their can live without it.



In term of architecture, have develop from technology, such as in the past we can show form building by drawing and model, but nowaday technology help by computer software such as 3Dmax, SketchUp , etc. And technology can help we create organic form or strange by new technology, produce, technique to make building.


The last "junk space", from lecture,"Junkspace is political: it depends on the central remove of the critical faculty in the name of comfort and pleasure" and "Junkspace seems an aberration, but it is essence, the main thing... product of the encounter between escalator and air conditioning, conceived in an incubator of sheetrock. "that is definition koolhaas' Junkspace


From my understand it is a space are no unique or style but useful function that we can use it. From this I think more technology can make more junkspace too.

FORM AND PERCEPTION

From my opinion form are feeling by visual and touching, in the world have a many form are creat by nature and human.

In architecture, form are creat by architect,they creat from such as culture, environment,believe,it have a lof of form or style from the past and develop all time, but some style not develop but break out from old style.

Now a day,form or style look very different from the past because form, function , material, how to set up are develpo follow the many idea of people

However,everthing are change follow thinking and feeling of human

METROPOLIS

"METROPOLIS" is A 1927 GERMAN EXPRESSIONISM SILENCE FICTION FILM directed by Fritz Lang and written by Lang and Thea von Harbou.

This film show about thinking of people in that time to future, from the film tell about Metropolis is a large city somewhere in the future, adheres spatially and socially to a caste system: at the top is Joh Fredersen (Alfred Abel) the ruler of this highly industrialized city under his command; at the bottom are workers without names, addressed by numbers instead.

From this film show the two different society are ruler on ground and worker in underground, everyone in the film work to modernism same nowaday, but ruler not to know what happen in underground and worker, mean worker are not important. This wrong from modernism are eveyone are equal unit, from this make me think about everyone like to truth in they eye see but is not true alway.

From the last lecture, we learn word "simulation" continue. In my opinion simulation mean represent something not real but make it real, and we call it "hyperreal" when we can not devide it is real or simulation.such as in the film "Borat" in chapter borat in news office and see different about in television and real, in television he saw graphic in wallpaper but in real he not see anything, it make him confuse.

In "Borat", he is a main character in film, he make people wacthing in film think it real life but in fact it just only acting , I think it is hyperreal because in real life he not like in the film,but in film he make people trust it's real life.

REPRESENTATION OF REPRESENTATION

Language are thing people are make it for communication between human such as body language, finger or hand language, text language, sign language, etc. It make people understand about other people want to told them and help they to present or told other people, this show how to represent the perception,from the lecture show the signifier of dog by use word,picture and simulate to make people understanding this signifier.

In term of architecture, architects use architecture to represent of perception to make people understanding, but it different from other language because people can undeerstand architural different from people are from diiferent country, culture or language, it depend on their experience and perception of them

From the lecture this quote "Everything is Nothing" I think it true, because from architectural are very beautiful or many concept of building but if people can not understand how to architect want to represnt, it same nothing.

Manufactured Landscape 2

This week we lecture about Non Manufactured Landscape.From my opinion non manufactured mean human are not make it, and manufactured mean human make it for convenience.From this I have a question "what are Manufactured Landscape and Non Manufactured Landscape".
From question, Manufactured Landscape from the film are documentary to show process of manufactured in industry factory, it make from human and we can control it to present such as building, vehicle and etc.Non Manufactured Lanscape are nature landscape we can not about process to produce it,when or where they make,it are environment we can not to control it or if we can, it very hardly,and this 2 type have a different effect to environment and human,manufactured landscape are destroy environment and make human lazy from this produce, this effect made from human,it can stop if human not make, but non manufactured landscape effect suach as tsunami,it destroy environment mean manufactured lanscape but human can not to stop it,because this effect made from nature.
